We feel something epic at Disney Parks stirring the Force … and it’s at Star Tours—The Adventures Continue. This morning, guests on the attraction boarded Starspeeders at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland and found themselves taken on a thrilling new journey to the farthest reaches of space like never before: [IMG]Welcome to Batuu. Landing unexpectedly in the outer rim of the Star Wars galaxy, Park goers were granted their first sneak peek into this Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge planet on Star Tours! According to Disney Parks Blog, Batuu is “a remote outpost that was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes, but its prominence was bypassed by the rise of hyperspace travel. Now home to those who prefer to stay out of the mainstream, it has become a thriving port for smugglers, rogue traders, and adventurers traveling between the frontier and uncharted space. It’s also a convenient safe haven for those intent on avoiding the expanding reach of the First Order.” While Batuu is an intriguing planet that even the most avid Star Wars fan has yet to explore, it’s already familiar to some of our favorite characters.
