There was a rumor that this might happen and Disney has announced that it is true. On July 31, 2018, they will close their Children’s Activity Centers:

    • Lilo’s Playhouse at Disney’s Polynesian Village
    • Sandcastle Club at Disney’s Beach Club Resort
    • Simba’s Clubhouse at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
    What about my reservation?

As far as we know all existing reservations will be honored, up until it’s closure.

Disney has cited declining interest and fewer guests attending as the reason for the closure.

They did indicate that they would be looking into other options in the future, but what they are we don’t know.

    Babysitting Still Available

Kids Night Out service will still be available for guests. This service offers in room babysitters for kids ages 6 months to 12 years. The rates vary by the number of children and start at $18 an hour.

To use the Kid’s Nite Out service, call (407) 828-0920, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 7 days a week.
