Disney Cancels ‘Night of Joy’ Indefinitely

Disney’s longstanding ‘Night of Joy’, the original theme park Christian Rock concert in Orlando, has been canceled indefinitely. After a 35 year run, Disney has pulled the plug as part of the resort’s philosophy of “continually changing our offerings”, as stated by a Disney spokeswoman to the Orlando Sentinel. Christian artists Mercy Me and Tauren Wells will be participating in ‘Eat to the Beat’ for three shows each over two nights. ‘Eat to the Beat’ is the concert series during Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival. Last Year’s Night of Joy, was cut short due to Hurricane Irma, which would have been its final show. Universal’s Rock The Universe started in 1998
