Beginning mid-February 2018, World of Disney stores will begin refurbishments to enhance “guests’ shopping experiences at Disney Parks.” Both Disney Springs (Walt Disney World Resort) and Downtown Disney District (Disneyland Resort) stores will receive these enhancements.

    Phases of Change

This will be done in “phases” throughout the year. Disney is indicating that guests can shop during the changes. Plus shops at Disney Springs, like ‘Ever After Jewelry Co.’ and ‘Disney Corner’ (opening next month) will carry some merchandise to help during the renovations.

At Downtown Disney in Disneyland the ‘Dream Boutique’ and ‘Disney Home’ (opening next month) will also carry the extra merchandise there to offset the construction issues.

    What will the changes be?

We are not sure yet what the changes will be but the Disney Parks Blog offered up this:

When the interior redesign work is completed, guests will discover the products they love from Disney Parks in a dynamic and distinctly Disney retail environment.”

The World of Disney Store is one of our favorite places to visit when we go to Disney Springs. But, it can be a bit chaotic in there. Walking through is a bit of an obstacle course sometimes. I can see why they would want to reorganize.

I’m really curious to see what they do with it!
